How many bales do you think you'll get from the land Michelle? I'd be very willing to go in with you on the lease and growing... we only use the low sugar hay... can you email me the teff testing? the 'tastes sweet' thing makes me wonder about the NSC...

teff hay sounds really great... I don't know if anyone has any of that around here. my aunt and uncle live in santa rosa, cousin rides in sebastopol.. I could go up that way to bring some hay down. Where can I get some of that teff stuff, and how much a bale?

mkg, let me know if you need a contact for someone who can seed, cut and bale for you. The guy who farms behind me lives off guerneville road. He really seems to know what he is doing.
I'd love to try some teff. Where is the farmer located? Is it close enough to warrant a trip up with a flatbed trailer?.
Ken the rye farmer says it's a nice crop. Probably hi sugar. He is having it tested so I'll know more soon. Those dairy guys like rich hay.
