Should we do a kick start for the Angel Fund through the Holidays. I think we will need some funds for the next round of horses. Maybe a small donation if we all do that we can help a needy horse find that home...

~~~ THE ANGEL FUND ~ MISSION STATEMENT ~~~
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The mission of the CBER ANGEL FUND is to offer financial assistance, on a short-term loan basis, as a last-chance 'safety net' to help prevent those horses at highest-risk on shipping day from being sent to slaughter, and can only be exercised when a high-risk horse also has a firm approved home commitment."
Please consider making a one-time donation or recurring (e.g. monthly) donation to the Angel Fund to improve our ability to effectively support the rescue of high-risk horses.
PLEASE DONATE VIA PAYPAL TO: angeldonation@gmail.com
I say that we set a goal for an amount that we would like to reach by certain date... it would motivate us more to raise money Any other thoughts?
What are the terms for the angel fund? Exactley how does it work? How long is short-term?
bnc, I'm not the treasurer or administrator of the fund (I think jenm is) so I can't tell you with certainty, but I'm pretty sure that the terms of the loan are arranged AT THE TIME the loan is made. In other words, the borrower works out the terms with the Angel Fund at the time. So short term might be one month for one person, or a few months for another, just depending on each person's needs and what they project they'll be able to do. If you are thinking about adopting/rescuing and are interested in an Angel Fund loan, the best thing to do would be to send a PM to either jenm or nancik. Either of them should be able to give you more details!
The terms are negotiable, we are flexible to a re-payment schedule that works with your finances.
We WANT to make Angel loans .... we're not like a Bank trying to find ways to reject anyone!
Unfortunately, there is only a little over $100, since we made a big loan recently.
But, if anyone needs that $100 which will make the difference in saving a feedlot horse or not, please PM me!
Question: Is the Angel Fund an RO fund or is/was it CBER?
The devil is in the details....
littlebouv,
The Angel Fund is not related to CBER or any specific rescue. It is available for anyone wishing to rescue a horse from any situation.
Please feel free to any questions!
Thanks jenm! Just wanted to make sure that there weren't any residual issues from CBER's departure.
