19 year old, 15h at wither, grey Arab mare. This mare came in with Meadow and is very attached to her. She was a handful on the ground but not aggressive, just very preoccupied with Meadow. She would not allow us to lift her feet and she did not assess well enough on the ground to warrant riding. We will try again but no promises are being made. She is freeze branded on her neck. We were also told that she is gentle to ride but have not witnesses that first hand. Please contact Deb Logstrom - avalonmistfarm@msn.com for more information. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=724 ADOPTION FEE $500.00Temp Home Offer: countrygirl Pledges: $50 strawberryfelidos $25 lorsadoon (per Meadows thread) $25 djrepp $25 chrisw $25 luckyducky

Is she just standing weird, or does she really have a bad swayback? She is very pretty, and I'm sure under different circumstances she will be a great horse.

She has a sway back, which to some degree can be corrected! There are lots of different ways you can build her back up to some degree though! Wondering if she had been used as a broodie or? She looks very sweet!

I posted Lavender and Meadow with their cber links on ablackhorse.com in the rescue and rehoming forum. It's an Arab board. Hopefully it will help.

Tummy lifts and trotting are a few things that will strengthen the back! Sometimes if a horse (Like Poppy) has hoof problems and stands funny all the time, it will cause a sway. I have been working on her and the tummy lifts do seem to help! She was very sore before her boot therapy, so stood stretched out....This 'sway' on this horse isn't that bad! His entire topline looks like it needs developed, so with good exercise and tummy lifts he would tuck up nicely!

I'm anticipating having to update the photo ad for Meadow & Lavender on BAEN, something like this..."FRIENDS TO THE END....sadly, time ran out and these two mare were shipped to slaughter today....FRIENDS TO THE END"
C'mon people, we need to get something going for these mares!

I have found a temporary place for these two to go if we can raise funds. We still have to find them permanant homes but we can save them if we work together. I might be able to go pick them up on Friday if necessary . But....we need $$$$ and a perm home. This place is only a temporary home to save them from the truck
