This paint mare was pulled with the generous donations from the Alex Brown board an hour before the second truck. Stitch got hurt in transport from the sale to the feed lot. As you can see her bone was exposed and needed immediate medical care. She was wisked off the lot and brought to Camelot Farms for an emergency surgery. The vet was not sure out of the outcome and has warned us that the stitches may not hold but we are all hopeful as the results were much more positive then expected. Look for updates on her progress. I have better pictures of Stitch's wound, but because they are quite graphic and there are younger viewers to this website, I have decided not to post them. If you are an adult and you wish to see the photos, please email me. Thank you. ~Tash Please contact Tash Johnson for more information.EMAIL:sand_tiger@hotmail.com

Exactly where is her wound, and why might the stitches not hold? I wonder if they ever use staples in horse surgery like they do in human surgery?

I had my horse get a cut on his nose and my vet stapled it, worked really well. I guess if is in a bad spot they can staple it. Tolo has stitches right on his nose and his eye that have held for 3 weeks with him rubbing it and all. They should stay if she doesn't rub had.
Cybercat/bluponygirl- I would rather him use bailing twine! Then it doesnt look like he stole his girlfriends or wifes!

OK. Kate really likes this horse. She likes the paints with less splashy coloring. Now all of you, check out Chickadee's thread and you to can work with the trainer. A very good deal! I have talked with Jeff and he is as nice as he looks. Put this horse into training with him and you will have a very good friend for life!

LOL: Ok, my neighbor emailed tonight to ask if I'd checked out cber lately: she loved the new cowboy I've been thinking that maybe we've been going about this wrong.... Maybe we could get more people to contribute with Jeff working with the horses! Kudos to Jeff!!! Btw, she's young, cute, and rides a big chestnut TB, Jeff...
