Beautiful Wynona is about ready to move out of QT, and head to her home in the Sierra foothills of California with Pam. We need to help raise some funds for hauling this mare to CA. I have pledged $50. Can anyone help by contributing to a fund for hauling Wynona?

Target date for shipping is January 8. Any amount donated would be very much appreciated, as this rescue is another TEAM EFFORT! Thanks!!

A donation of ANY SIZE would be meaningful, and contribute to bringing this innocent baby down to California to start the rest of her life.
Pam is new to the RO board and to rescuing from CBER, and we want to help her make Wynona's save a good experience.

If we hadn't just taken in Gypsy.....this gal was most certainly on my list of wish horses. She is stunning, and will be a fantastic friend for some lucky soul. I hope she finds a home of her own very soon.

I think she would be perfect for us, but she is too far away, and we are still paying off Dazzler's vet bills, so can't afford more than we have right now. Besides, Gypsy needs a lot of work and attention, so it wouldn't be fair to take in another one right now. Sigh....I have a thing for black and white horses of all coat patterns!

is it the transport issue? without wynona, I don't think the linarez' have enough horses to make the trip to CA. It looks like I'm going to head up there myself to get Raz - probably after this big storm passes. Long story short, if the issue is just transport, I may be able to give her a free ride as far south as Redding.

no- it is not a transport issue but thank you so much for your wonderful offer.

d**n, now you have me thinking. How close to Boise would you come while driving back?

Sorry - I would be heading straight south. If going to Redding, we would go down 97 through Bend. If just my horse, I would go over to Portland then down I-5. I know Faraway sometimes loops through Boise on the way to CA/NV - you should drop Sharon an email and see.

Hmmm. Coast to Coast is from Arco, about an hour from me, so if they have a transport from WA, they will eventually have to come home. Let me check with them. Is this girl done with QT then? What is expected in the way of fees for her, just the adoption fee? Or is QT cost needing reimbursed for her as well? With Gypsy already here, I shouldn't even think about another horse, but d**n, she is such a pretty girl, and everyone says she is very sweet.

MustangAppy, after all you have been through, you deserve a keeper. Call Sam and talk with her about this horse. She has some really good insights after they have been with her.

Well, it would cost me $1800 for her adoption fee and transport. I talked to Brian, and his eyes bugged out, and he turned red, and then he tried to talk and couldn't. He finally just shook his head and said, "NO! and don't show me the pretty pony's picture either!!" whereupon he fled the room.....

paintedlady - that's the funniest thing I've heard in days! A nice little frame...
$1800 = $800 bail + $300 qt + $700 transport?
That doesn't seem right - what am I missing? It's "only" $400 to get one from Yakima to me and that's like a 10 hour trip one way.

QT is going on 6 weeks, so $450, and by the time the transport can pick up it will be $600. The transport quote was $400.

but isn't she through QT? I thought that's why she was ready to go to CA...and who paid for her? I didn't think she was an outright adoption but I certainly could be wrong...
and I have taped pictures to the bathroom mirror several times...as well as leaving begging messages on cell phones...

Well, maybe I could tell him Gypsy's little sister just showed up in the pasture out of nowhere.... He is still going to wonder where the mortgage payment went for this month, though, and I would get skinned alive!
