Colin - 15 yr old 14-14.1 hands chestnut quarter/pony cross. He was used on a pack string, an older gentleman rode him through the ring. He was responsive to leg cues and neck reins in just a halter. Easy to handle on the ground, picked up his feet with some coaxing. Would be good for an advanced beginner type rider as he does have some go while being ridden. $750.00Please contact Shawna Byington for more information.Email: tufnspendy@aol.comStatus: Available Price: 750 Arrived: 7/4/2007 Age: 15 Height: Weight: Gender: Gelding Primary Color: Chestnut Secondary Color: Type: Riding Breed: American Quarter Horse x Pony Registration: Condition: Temperament: Training: RIDING ASSESSMENT FEE DONATION ($20):

People shouldn't be put off by his size...........he's stocky and can easily carry an adult..........and it's MUCH easier to get on and off if you're a bit on the other side of 40. He's actually a real match, color and physically, with my Peruvian...........too bad I can't use another!

Ditto to that! My little Mustang ( ) is only 14 hands and he has no trouble carrying me, my Dad, and my older brother around. Plus, these shorties are so much fun to just go hop on out in the pasture and boogie around. I have purchased horses off pack strings before and they make great trail horses. Go anywhere, through anything, over, under, etc.. I think this guy is my definite pick, though it is a hard one this time. He reminds me too much of my guy. He is a pretty color, built nicely, nice age.....I want him .

Leo- are these horses at the feedlot (meaning the 4 horses with the scheduled ship date....) Yes, they are at a feedlot. They are at the new feedlot near tri cities, normally they don't let anyone list horses, they ship directly to canada. I have had alot of interest in Molly, she will just be a matter of picking "her" person. Colin & Thomas have had some interest also..I am a little worried about Pamela...I havn't heard if she has alot of people interested in her or not...she is a real sweetie.

What is Colins status, does he have a new home yet? He is such a handsome boy, I keep coming back over and over and over. Must be the big compact body that's got my eye. Please keep us updated.

He reminds me so much of Crescent- same build and easy going temperment. Let's get his bail knocked down and find him a loving family of his own. I will offer $25 for him.

Has anyone from Icicle Oufitters made contact with Cber about Colin? They told me that they could use him. Would have been Sandy, Dale or Bruce Wick?

Great news! Are our pledges needed on these horses or can they be moved to the horses at risk for the truck on Tuesday?

We'd have to check with Deb via phone or her email; I don't think she's on the board lately. I'm going to take a chance and move my pledge to one of the feedlot horses, but if Colin still needs my help, he can have it.

Great news!
My first horse had been a pack horse in the Mendocino National Forest area. He was a great horse - very sure-footed, calm, gentle and patient with kids.

UNTIL SOMEONE FROM CBER CAN CONFIRM HIS STATUS, let us not assume he is safe.
