His testicle have not dropped but he is young so we are not stating if he is a gelding or a colt. This is a nice kind looking youngster. He is halter broke and gentle on the ground. Not started, but willing. This horse just came off the truck from a sale and was being weighted so it might have handled quieter because it was tired. Sound at time of assessment. It's not fair........he is just a baby. A sound, healthy, gorgeous baby dreaming and hoping for a great life. Wondering if he will have a human friend to take care of. Wondering why he is at the feedlot. He is with the nice humans and probably finds comfort in them. Maybe he thinks one will take him to safety. I can't take much more of this. All I can think about is what they are thinking. Every feedlot, every kill pen, in every auction. No animal has done more for humanity than the horse. Their souls intertwine with ours. The love us and work for us and entertain us and protect us, they understand us and obey us and want to be with us. Why is transport to slaughter still allowed? Day in and day out we fight to end slaughter, but it continues. The innocents die more brutally than ever before. What level do we need to bring the pitch to in order to be heard? Spread the word, tell every single person you ever meet. I gaurantee, almost every one will tell you they had no idea slaughter was happening....and tell them how to be heard. We need to get a lot louder.....at least as loud as the screams of terror and pain from within the doomed horses. Please, look at this boy once more....he is special. He needs you.....

I posted a couple ads for Bounder, 1 on BAEN and another free ad at ClassAds Equine. Wil do more tonight. Question.....if we take in some donations(we have a couple small ones) do I update the ad to reflect the amount still needed? These horse ads seem to be filled with horses going for alot of money. It seems to me the poor feedlot horses should look like a steal...

Don't update the ads re money needed. I don't know about the other site, but BAEN doesn't allow any fundraising.
The ads are for outright adoptions - we've placed several horses that way, BTW.

Why don't we get his bail down some more, so if an adopter is approved, we have the money in place and time is saved.
I will send $20.00 now. He has had 2 donations, $25 and $10, so my $20 will get him below $500....it should be down to $490.
Anyone else want to jump in........
