Is this the same horse that just went through the Enumclaw auction? I read on the CBER Answers board that Ted E Bear and some other horses were just sent through the auction by their adopter. I really liked this guy.

I can't imagine who in their right mind would pay the feedlot price and then turn around and send this horse through the auction...that just doesn't make any sense unless it iwas to cause misinformation and rumors. I sincerely hope that the post on that other board is wrong.

oh, wow, I hope that's wrong, he was just adopted about a month ago, would that not mean he just got out of QT?

I sure hope the info is wrong. It also said the horses Spike, and Ying Yang went through the auction as well.

Dont they have to contact CBER first before going to auction

What was the outcome? Did they end up back at a feedlot or did an actual loving home get them this time?

Who is Kay McBean?

Kay is a long time CBER adopter. I believe that during the course of CBER she has adopted about 50 horses. I know that there have been at least 24 in the last 2 years and she has been involved pretty much since the beginning. Last I saw on the CBER board she was going to be adopting Mia, but I don't know if that is still the plan or not.

Dont they have to contact CBER first before going to auction CBER operates without an adoption agreement, so the new owner is free to do with the horses what they want.....pretty risky if you ask me. Actually without an adoption agreement you are really just "buying" a horse off the feedlot the same as you would from Chuck....just paying more. Just a little somethin' to think about.

Wow, Kay has quite a nice profit on y/y... she must do well working with CBER taking horses and reselling quick for a profit... taking 50... a nice income for a few days work.

One less to worry about, however, sad to think what might have become of the others less fortunate.

So, it looks like Kay McBean admitted to taking these three horses to the Enumclaw auction with Sam's approval. This is just unbelievable. Kay said, as per TWO trainers, that Ted E Bear was unsuitable for kids and did not ride well. That's why he went to the auction. Let's see, this horse was on the lot March 18, so 30 days of QT would have meant he didn't go to the trainers until sometime in the middle of April. That means he had, what? A week with the trainer?? When was the auction? Edited to add: OMG! I just checked the Enumclaw auction web site. www.enumclawlivestockauction.4t.com/ And, GET THIS, they only have horse auctions the first Sunday of every month! That means he went through the auction on April 6th (the first Sunday of April). So, Ted E BEar didn't have 30 days of Qt, apparently. What the heck is going on??
