Thanks for the great photos! I enjoyed reading through your postings. I remember when Kaleigh and Angel came down from Washington.

Angel is doing so well! She's calmed so much from when she arrived. I let her out into the arena for a bit today for a romp and stomp. She trotted around and enjoyed herself thoroughly! There were flags at one end of the arena and the wind was really blowing. They were flapping around and she couldn't have cared less! She's really, really good, EXCEPT when she's headed back to her boyfriend. We did a little walking backwards today again. But, she did settle down and walk the rest of the way like the well-mannered horse she generally is!. And, of course, the requisite roll... She has the most lovely trot! She just floats! After spending time with Angel, and Kaleigh and Diva and also seeing Jenm clean up at the show....I can't believe these horses were throw-aways. A year later, and it's still unbelieveable to me.

Pics from Saturday! She was a very good girl. Angel having a scritch on the scritching tree. It's the perfect height for them! LOL! I guess the horses keep it "pruned" to their liking. Look at that face! She's such a beautiful sweet horse! "You aren't planning to take me out and work me are you cause y'know I just finished eating and it's time for a nap." Check out the butt on the horse on the left of the picture. She's a HUGE TB mare. I think she's nearly 17 HH. I look at her, picture her as a chestnut and wonder if that's what Diva is going to be like.

I took Angel out to the arena again today. She had a great time! She started galloping back and forth, then settled into cantering around the perimeter. It's the most I've seen her canter - ever. After awhile she settled back into a trot and cooled herself down. A self-serve horse! How cool is that? She had a good roll to start with so we finished up with a good brushing and then a nice stroll back to her boyfriend, Savanna and the HUGE TB mare, Frenchie.

I have a new dog. She's a dark brown dog with black legs. She's kind of big to be a dog, but she acts just like one (in the best sense of being a dog) She walked walk over the arena yesterday with a friend and then with me, in a "pefect heel" ;D Even when I was outside the fence! Wasn't Angel supposed to be the "diva" and Kaleigh supposed to be the sweet one? Actually, they are both very sweet, but I have to say, Angel has much better ground manners, more complete training, and is much calmer. She is a complete pocket pony. See the flag in the next pic? "What flag?" says Angel. "OMG it's going to eat me!!!" says Kaleigh.

She's been ridden...just not by me (yet). ;D I'm having lots of pain/trouble with my back so both feet remain firmly planted on the ground for now. It's only been the last few weeks that she's shown that she's been relaxed, happy, and focused. I'm happy enough doing groundwork with her for now. But, you can come up and ride her if you like. ;D

Yes, she's probably going to stay with me. She's very sweet and co-operative. Here is a pic from yesterday of her hanging out with some other mares on the pasture.
