18 yr old, 15.3h, bay TB mare and bay colt. These two are to be placed together. Currently this mare is not sound on her left front and she is quite sore. Her feet are a mess so hopefully she can be helped with corrective farrier work. The foal too needs corrective farrier work as he has already started to toe out. Both are quiet on the ground. Please contact Tash Johnson for more information. YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE HERE. Please fill out your application carefully, especially your contact information and that of your references, and Vet. Incomplete applications will result in delays in getting approval! Also, please don't forget to email pictures of your facilities as soon as possible, along with your name to CBERApplications@yahoo.com www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=898ADOPTION FEE$ 800.00

:-[theres something about this mare that I just can't get off my mind. Her eyes are so full of sweet life. I feel so bad. I wish I could take all of them. I would in a heartbeat if timing was a little better. Man this sucks. Breaks my heart knowing that there will be more before we even blink our eyes.

I know what you mean. That photo just kills me.
There she is, looking at the camera, sweet hope in her eyes. And the colt, he looks like he's resigned to his fate.
This picture is very distrubing to me.

Nanci, you're description hits the nail on the head.
The colt looks like he's never really been loved, but the mare still looks hopeful.

Is there anyone who could take these two until King can be weaned? I know in the past some people have been unable to take horses because of the foal at side aspect. If there is someone who could take them in until he is weaned and then once he is weaned someone else to take King and then someone else to take Carrie would there be anyone interested? Of course this would all need to be run past their PS.

horsegal0308 Before offering a home it needs to be cleared with the PS and an approved application on file! Have you checked with Tash on these two? We have no time for any miscommunication with the truck coming tomorrow!

She did email me, and I requested her name so that I can look up app status, but I haven't heard back yet. Without an application on file, this isn't going to work...

Don't let these slip through. I will back up home offer. ONLY AS BACK UP if something goes wrong. Lord knows I cannot fit them on the trailer and don't know how long it will be before another run could be made. You cannot ship safely over the mountains after Thanksgiving because of the weather changes. SO ONLY a BACK UP..........OKAY?

Any one know how long we have on this pair or if they have any funds so far?
If we still have time I'll send $25 to help this pair. I'll also match the next $50 on top of that which is sent in.

It would be nice if we knew what time the truck is coming, so we would know whether there is time to raise funds.

I checked over there too. From what Jen wrote on the other thread, I don't think that they'll be posting over there like they used to.
