Hey beejoyfulmk, it sounds like you might be offering to take Racer. I am posting her photo now on the AB board and it would be wonderful to say she has a home offer to encourage more donations. She is certainly my dream of a horse.......would not do well in an apartment.
I hope you can save this jewel.

Who DOESN't like the black ones?! ;D ... also the grey ones. My TB mare is black w/blaze and the same age as Racer. She is so easy, calm & laid-back. Maybe Racer is, too. I also like Ghost... a draft PONY --a sturdy boy!
(Someone earlier was interested in Racer and asked if she would be ok for a newbie)
PS. Thanks for the warm welcome, patience...and the computer tips.

that was me, 1 yr with horses so we are really new to riding....... Royal is my 1st TB and very sweet but he is a TB and full of himself, which I think is kinda funny. So Im thinking about her for my hubby.....she will have to be very calm.

I've been looking at her legs and trying to decide what gait she's doing. She's not trotting.....not cantering........it LOOKS like a lateral 4-beat gait, but I've never seen a TB that gaits! Oh, just had a thought- it might be a cross-canter! MTA, no, not that either.

I saw Jeff ride her. She was sound and clean legged, she picked up the correct lead in each direction. She was quiet and good natured. Very bonded to Mrs. Pacman.

Sorry about posting possible home offer for Racer. I can change it. Just thought when we hear there is a home offer, it generates more funds...it has in the past. I'll delete the post.

Just an idea, what do you all think of giving her to the family that lost Forever? just a thought. When I lost Amber 11/15/06, I was ill but I knew that my grief my cost another horse his life, so we adopted( Chet) Royal 11/24/07. I still feel the loss of my girl, but I will never regret letting Royal share my heart.

I wish we could take her. Sarah and Colby are still not even sure they want to try again. We are all still in shock I think. Both Sarah and I don't even have the money to come and get her right now. Hauling a horse puts us right at 12 hours away and we don't own anything that is easy on gas. The trip up to get Forever cost around $600.00. I sure hope she gets a home, because I for one don't want to see her on the Memory page.

There was just somebody on the AB board a few hours ago that would love to adopt Racer, but they are 2,000 miles away.....
Can they get help with this problem? Transport information, etc.. what could I say to them now? If Apache lives in the Hamptons, and I assume that is Long Island, then how do the horses get there?
Thanks for any advise I can pass along.

Where are you located? If shipping wasn't an issue, what would you look for in your next horse? Would Racer be it, or is someone else? Beejoyful, you know you want her! Kathy I wish we could take her. Sarah and Colby are still not even sure they want to try again. We are all still in shock I think.
