Yes there are a lot of people there that help horses. The people who run the place are nice and there is such a great group of boarders. Atticus do you know someone who can help the poor mare in the second row? She needs a home really bad!

About the food thing, my horse is just like that and I have owned him for years. He is the best around me. He will pin his ears but not do anything, but while he is eating he will pin his ears and give the horses he can see evil looks. Its like he thinks they can jump through the stall wall and eat his food. He does not do this with hay, just grain or pellets of any sort. I think he got it from the track as he is an OTTB.

My two year old mini mare thinks she's incredibly fierce and pins her ears back so far that they are hidden under her mane and forelock...she also tries to bite the llamas if they come too close...(can only reach about as high as a kneecap, but she tries anyway.) The other mini mare is a kicker, and raises a ruckus every day...sigh...still can't get her to stop.

He totally gulps down any food you give him, and he is pretty ribby under that thick fur so I wonder if he was just not fed enough in the past. I came to the barn this AM and alot of the horses were still munching on their breakfast and he was completely done and acting like he was ready to eat again. He wolfed down the pellets in like 3 minutes. So I am glad he is getting alot of food the barn feeds him 3 times a day, he seemed to be less protective today since he is figuring out it is really his & we are not taking it from him. We did a some hand feeding to so he would see we will give it to him.

I wish I would have known, a lady just called me from the Barn and asked me if she could buy Finn. She has been looking for a draft horse for awhile, if she calls back I will send her your way. She is supposed to call back to get Jim's number to see Norma Jean.

oh man, talk about dreamy... I think it might be a bad idea cuz I'm only 5'1... but I have a new found obsession with drafts. I want one.. which would turn into two, three, maybe four. Just wait, when I get out of college and start making money, I'm going to be acquiring a few more horses... and I bet they're gonna be huge. (Ha ha and I have a little 14h girl)
