A good mom will teach her son life skills to use when he is on his own. Lesson #1: How to clean up after yourself. The first couple of times, mom may have to lend a helping mouth - After some practice, mom can then look on to make sure he has it down - Is Jamaica a great mom, or what?!

TB Friends is putting together a book of rescues. They invited me to submit my story but mine would be very boring compared to this story. I believe a woman from the old CBER board is going to help edit/publish. Please consider telling your story. The proceeds benefit Joe.

You KNOW... just a tiny bit of plastic surgery on those... ears.... and he'd be just a loverly lookin' horse!!! :-) does he bray??? Funny enough, I'm really glad he's not a horse, I don't think we would be having as much fun! Not that I haven't made my share of ear-shortening jokes. He does not bray. He makes a cute little squeaky sound when he sees me and if he is too far a way from mom, he sounds like a horse neighing with it's mouth closed, only it's only one flat tone. It's cute. Yesterday he went on his first trail ride with mom and he crossed a stream twice. He had a lot of fun looking at rocks and making sure they were safe. I'll start an update thread in another section and I'll post long overdue pictures.

that is just tooo cute. You just want to cuddle him. He is going to be one fine looking boy when he's all grown up. I think he may just be the most cuddled mule baby in the world! He is so fuzzy and soft and loves to be brushed and of course scratched. He tolerates my kisses much more than his mom does. She isn't quite used to my mushy displays of affection, so I double up on him. ;D

I don't know how it is in CA, but up here in WA, mules are VERY popular. I remember when your little guy was born, I thought you were the luckiest person ever! :0)
