Assurance was agitated today, hes doing better tonight. He wasn't terribly hungry yesterday or this morning. Eating very intermittently again. I gave him 1cc of ditomidine this morning to help relax him and hopefully head off the crash that appears to be on its way. As soon as the vet opens tomorrow I will pick up some tubes of gastro guard and get him started on that again.
I guess this is his pattern, I am trying to look at the bright side, which is, I know what to look for and I know how to head off the crash. I am praying that with all the info. we now have about dorsal colitis and his tendency toward gastric ulcers, we can head off any serious complications, like another impaction.
