I thought that this had already been posted but apparently not... Chet was used to move cattle until the person that owned him moved. He ended up at the lot because the guy that bought him did not like that Chet wanted to get going and do a job. He's a bit jiggy at the walk.

How jiggy is jiggy? The reason I ask is that I had a retired racer and for years (25 to be exact) I could never really get him to relax. My husband and I do alot of prize rides and trail riding in the mountains and beach. I love the get up and go, just want to be able to relax when I want to. I sent Wendy an email about him, but have not heard anything.

CBER is sad to report that Chet died pecefully over the holidays, it looks like he just laid down and went to sleep. There was no sign of any rolling or thrashing around. RIP Chet.

Oh No!!!! He was so young. How sad, I'm glad he went peacefully, and in a save place.
RIP sweet Chet!

its weird how things happen in life eh?! I had a young mare, about 9 yrs old, when I was about 12 yrs old, that one day, we came out and she was dead in the pasture...just lying there, like she was sleeping. We assumed a heart attack....she did have heaves too...it was a sad sad day!!
At least he died peacefully and in a place where he was loved and cared for.

I remember Chet and the look in his eyes. I don't understand what makes an 11 y/o horse lay down and die, possibly a heart attack I suppose. I'm grateful he didn't ship, as I remember he was at high risk on the feedlot. Many thanks to all of you who bailed and cared for Chet.
RIP sweet boy.

This is sad that he is gone. But, glad, that he didn't die a slaughter house death. I kept looking for updates of this guy. Liked him a lot.

I saw his sweet soul in his eyes, too. I also kept coming back to check on him.
Run free, sweet boy, with no handicaps or obstacles. Kiss the other horses for us, they are surely as happy to see you arrive as we are saddened to say goodbye.
You'll always be loved, missed, and remembered.
