I think not--it's all been paid for for now. I can't wait to get to her and untangle that mane!
Where is Deb's place? How long does QT usually last?

Dusty is here, and doing fine. She got banged up somewhere on the way here, and had a big old goose egg on one eye and a small laceration on the other, but it's looking better everyday. She is so very calm and gentle. My kids love to pet her and rub her belly. I'm not used to riding horses (most of my horses are minis!) so am going to find someone else to ride her the first few times. I don't think she's got very much Arab in her, though. Maybe just enough to give her a nice tail set! Can someone move her thread to the one with mixed horses?

She looks like a very happy gal and a spiffy new fly mask to boot!

Dusty and my old Arab mare are best friends! I've seen them twice now grooming each other. Kara (my old girl) can be hard to get along with, I think because she's only got one eye and so is always suspicious of other horses coming up on her blind side. But Dusty persevered, and now they are great friends! It makes me feel good to see the two girls grazing side by side.
I still haven't found anyone to ride her yet. I don't have a bridle big enough for her anyway. I would like to try something without a bit--does anyone have a suggestion?

Update for anyone who's interested. Dusty is going through some diarrhea right now--most likely from a bit of alfalfa in the orchard grass hay she usually gets. Her hooves are growing out nicely and looking better after every trim (thanks to my shoer, Pam). She's enjoying her life of leisure here, but I don't think she likes the wetness of the Pacific Northwest!
