A New Kill Buyer has agreed to let us rescue off of his lot. We have until Friday 6/29 to place this horse or she will ship. 17 - 19 year old, 15.1h, chestnut Arab mare. WE were told that this horse has lived with one family and that he was ridden by kids and grandkids but we have not seen that with our own two eyes. I do not think he has been ridden for some time but was well behaved, neck reined well in the rope halter but did not respond to leg pressure that great. She picks up all of her feet for you and hands them to you. Would make a great trail/family horse. Appeared sound at time of assessment. www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=780Please contact Deb Logstrom for more information. YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE HERE. Please fill out your application carefully, especially your contact information and that of your references, and Vet. Incomplete applications will result in delays in getting approval! Also, please don't forget to email pictures of your facilities as soon as possible, along with your name to CBERApplications@yahoo.com .

she is beautyful. We have until tomorrow to get those 2 girls save. Can we start a rally for both of them? Can anybody offer them a home if we can raise bail?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have them on TWR. I posted the CBER link. The pictures did not show up. Someone has already sent $200 to CBER I am guessing. I asked for homes, not money!

Is this group not rescueing off the other lot now? Lora, CBER is still rescuing off the other lot, but apparently this second kill buyer is now allowing CBER to try to rescue his horses, as well.

Just sent to the adoptahorse address; hope that's the right one.... Java, I don't recognize this address. Is it the paypal address, or is it an email that you sent an app to? I just want to help make sure everything goes where it needs to so this lovely girl will be safe! Also, sent $75.00 via paypal (oh, criminy, I forgot to add fees!) transaction number 9X718567M1037315U. If anyone hasn't paid their pledge yet, would they be willing to cover the $2.25 in fees for me? I hate to pay paypal extra just to get that 2.25 in! I guess I can snail mail it if necessary...

It's the address I used for Sunny's adoption in the Spring. Do you know if there's another? I can certainly cancel and resend to the correct address... and add the 2.25

I'm not sure if it will work; I've left a phone message at the CBER office for someone to get back to us. The address I used was the one that comes up when you click on "Donate" on the CBER website, it is cberwendy@earthlink.net. I'll let you know if I get a call back about the "adoptahorse" address!
And I'm so happy May is safe!!!!!

The "donate" address gets a tax receipt. The "adoptahorse" address is only available on the horse's listing page, and is for adopters, no tax receipt. Hope this helps!

We are offering in memory of CBER Marilyn (aka OA Duskfire or "Gemma"), who we adopted in 2005 (another wonderful Arab chestnut). Gemma died peacefully of old age in December, and we miss her still!
