3 - 4 year old, 15h, chestnut paint gelding. He is halter broke but does not know much. He was not that responsive in the halter and while he tried to do what was asked of him, when we tried to pick up his feet he really did not respond. He would not let us pick up his back feet. He has old scaring in his hock area but was sound at time of assessment. This flashy gelding needs to be started and you can just let your IMAGINATION run wild with what he would be like...... www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=686Adoption Fee $700.00

I got one of our 4-h moms interested in the rescue sight. She was looking for a gelding. I forwarded her this one and said "BUY HIM-QT HIM-Then send him to a trainer for a couple of months and you'd have one heck of a horse" We'll see what happens.

My sister is hoping to pick up Imagination this weekend from Deb. She is very excited to get him home and start working with him! I have to get her on the site to post some updated pictures and updates. I am so excited for them both!!

Imagination made it home! My sister adopted him and is very happy with him. She says " I've been taking him out for walks every day and to eat some grass. He's really not that spooky, just curious. I'm able to dump the shavings out of the plastic bag in his stall while he's in there, so that's a lot more than most horses would allow. The scar on his hock doesn't look that bad really. I'm already bonding with him, by blowing in his nose while I rub his neck. He nibbles my face softly back, its really sweet. And now, instead of having to corner him to catch him, he comes right up to me and follows me out of the stall when I leave."

Got this email from my sister today regarding "Shooter"- formerly known as Imagination. Sounds like he's doing great! She says "I'm so happy with my new horse- he is just wonderful! He is so calm and easy to work with. I've trimmed his front feet, had saddle blankets all over him, ropes all over his body and legs, lunged him a little (he's still working on that) given him a bath and sprayed him down. And done lots of bending and flexing his neck around to both sides. PLus everytime I look at him- I can't believe that I have such a nice looking horse!! I named him Shooter- kinda goes with your Deputy huh? I don't think it will be long before I have a bridle and saddle on him."
