Pocodot- is a 4 to 6 year old 15hh paint filly.... Was hard to catch on the lot did not want to leave her buddies..Once we caught her she did good. She was very responsive in the halter..Did not appear to know much but was willing to try.. Would recommend starting from scratch. We were told that she is green broke but we would not recommend getting on her with out some training..Very nice filly would make a great barrel or show prospect. She was sound at time of assessment... www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=755 $600.00 Contact Tash Johnson for more info at: sand_tiger@hotmail.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HOME OFFERS: Possibly linika but she needs support...

She looks like she could be the mommy to the other paint 2-4 year old on CBER site. They look a lot alike.

I can offer a discounted training for her if a boarding situation could be found near me. I lost my ranch and can't offer a home, as much as I'd like to.. but I can help finish her training for someone..

clayton, ca but I have been travling to placerville and galt.. would like to relocate to the placerville area or surounding areas. looking for new clients in placerville-auburn-galt areas for exercising, starting and what I call kindergarden for horses.. I have 3 kindergarden horses in galt. had 4 but one just graduated lol.. and is now with the reining trainer. the trainer was excited when I brought her there. the filly knows more then most horses that arrive.. so she is very happy with me if I can get back up to the hwy 80 and 50 area I can go back to college and finish my AS degree in 5 majors.. I am so close... only need like 15 more classes

linika - could you foster/train Pokey if we all pitched in for bail, qt, transport and board near you? How many months would you need, do you think? We would have to commit to aggressively seeking home when training was complete. Maybe linika could get the adoption fee as payment for training?
Any other ideas for this sharp looking little gal if no adopters come forward in the next day?

Sorry, but for now the "inn" and my pocket book are full and empty, respectively The Hatmeister comes home in 3 months ;D. Dixie is away at "Cowgirl U", she heading into the end of her 2nd semester, Jack is loving his life at the senior center, and Matisse is being home schooled by moi, and a host of others at the barn This is a lovely, lovely tobiano mare, I'll say that for her Pretty head, gorgeous muzzle, and a kind eye. Her chest looks like it is awesome, and it looks like on heck of an engine she's got in the back It'd have even more horsepower with some training

yes it is possible.. but all fees would have to be raised.. I am getting on my feet and have a few opportunitys opening up in the placerville area. I also have an interview for eldorado county animal control again, 3rd times the charm right lol
so in short I have 2 possible new boarding places that would be just about all mine to do with as I like.. 1 place where I can live and board as I like... and 2 offers to house horses in training...
so if the money can be raised then yes... and with some training and some good videos I believe a home for her can be found. I would say a safe 3 months of training if she has no major issues.

linika - could you be the adopter? Maybe contact the placement specialist and see if this plan will fly for her if no one else steps forward, then we can rally here for a group sponsor. It sounds like the biggest unknown is where you would keep her. Do you know when that would be decided? Would you have to pay board or just feed and expenses for her? Would you be okay getting paid by whatever she "sold" for when you were done? I agree with Eileen M - she is a sharp looking little girl who will sparkle with training!

Yes I can. I would have to pay some kind of board.. $250/mo is a safe max bet. if I get the place where I live there then that amount goes away because it is a service trade deal. I won't know about that for a while. I also think I have another place where I can keep her on a trade deal as well. I can set these up while she is QT'd but I can not pay transport. I have my interview for the animal control job on tuesday so wish me luck.
I will e-mail the PS now.

Yay for Pokey! I think my harebrained scheme was falling apart. Such as harebrained schemes usually go... I've been pursuing other options/opportunities, but too short of notice this time.
