I just read the whole thread, and if I can add.
Junior was ridden all summer by my experienced 12yo daughter. He didn't canter or jump when we got him and his steering was, um, challenging! However with his willing nature and pluck he learned all things well enough to be a top scoring pony at the pony club rally at end of summer.
A few months of lessons with an older child and I bet Mr. Bashful will be good to go. Junior is now being ridden successfully by two 7yo kids and a 9yo they are cantering, jumping in the open and going on trails safely and with confidence on little mr. reliable.
I am 5'2" and a very experienced rider. Junior is a BLAST to take on trail and I have ridden him several times this fall and winter on some very large (lots of horses) trail rides with the pony club. I have several other good (and full-sized) trail horses but I love to ride Junior on the trail even more than any of them. He's a joy.
Junior is definitely one of the best horses in my barn and always healthy and sound as a dollar. Bet Bashful could be the same.
If anyone wants to offer a good home I'll help pay his bail. I cannot take him myself as I'd rather not ship him across the country and I have no more room for any more ponies (my kids are all bigger now)

Great stuff on Junior - and just how I imagined Mr. Bashful would look with good love and care!
I'm still in with a pledge for him - now how do we find him the perfect home!
P.S. I WISH I could take him myself . . . just don't have the space for another where we live now.

He is absolutely beautiful, and has a very sweet face. Sounds like there is a lot of interest in him.

I think we are going with addison as they feel she is a more experienced and broke horse that Bashful. I love Bashful and wish we could get both but the horse will be for my husband and he also really liked Addison. He is a beginner rider. Please someone get him! MINI MOM...hint hint hint. I looked at the picture of Popeye and i had reallyt liked him when I saw him posted. We must have the same taste in horses!

I am going down to see him but if I take him I will need help money wise. PEC offered to bail him but I don't know if she is still going to or not.Anyone else who can help with QT if pec bails him will be appreciated.

We need to get him off the lot by Wednesday, as it's posted on the SOS website they ship on Thursday to Mexico. So is anyone ready to fully commit to giving this beautiful boy a home?

I will commit to being backup home for him so we can get him off the lot. I will go down to see him this weekend and if it does not work out we can still have time to find him a home. But I am real sorry that I have to ask for help with bail and QT.WEBMISTRESS 32 has offered to bail him. Is that still a go?Any other help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes Webmistress My plan is to keep him for the rest of his life.I will let you know if for some reason it does not work out this weekend. Yes his bail has been paid but will need help with QT. I still have a large vet bill to pay from trying to save Popeye so like I stated earlier anything will be greatly appreciated. Jana
