Well, the reason is........you see...when the west was won, all the great horses ended up on the west coast. So, one by one, I am just trying to bring 'em all back! LOL ;D

Apache - great offer! Have you connected with Rocket's PS yet?
I fear time is getting short, and this guy will be the first on the truck. Let's not wait, Rocket and all these horses are at risk! Thanks.

Unfortunately I cant adopt him and then hope she wants him. I just took in a mare that was rescued from Ahimsa Ranch that was suppose to go into training on Sept 1 but found out today she's pregnant. I'm going to help her owner out and keep her here until she can find her a good home. I wish there was something I could do.

huh, I just see that this thread has never been updated! anyway, Vicki couldn't take Rocket due to illness... so we took him for her... and, my daughter rode him until just this month. He has a left hip problem, and we decided to let him enjoy retirement... which he is doing. He is a wonderful old soul, and has given his all to people, his mind is willing to keep on going, but his hip hurts him... so, he is on full retirement now. I'll post some pics of Amy last month on him at the shows... he did great... but limps on that hind, and has a hard time putting it down and weighting it after it's been held up for a hoof trim... did chiro and massage, and he's fine as long as he just hangs around... he's earned it. he's also got an old face injury, and a mising upper molar, so the lower has way over grown for years... and is now loose, so we need to have that removed, which we can do now that he doesn't need a bit! but he still eats hay, and is holding his weight great... (when we got him Deb's report was he might not be ridable as he was 'so thin'... ) no problem here at Chez Rocking Horse Ranch... :-) he even lived in my yard over winter... hangin' in my garage... I expect he'll get the yard duty this winter again... he is respectful, and likes to hang with us humans...... until then, he's hangin' with Baron and Bob Marley. chillin.
