Just to make sure people know this colt has been used for breeding purposes at least once as a 2 year old. So please keep in mind that he may display stallionish behavior when near mares if you are considering bringing him home. Gelding of course may help with this. I also went ahead and put his pedigree up at www.allbreedpedigree.com/spittin+at+midnight so it is just a little easier to read.

If someone will pay his bail I will commit to getting him gelded and put him in training for 30 days with Molly McDaniel. I don't like seeing the young unstarted horses ship (or any others for that matter) before they have even had a chance at life.

Kay I'm with you! I hate to see the young ones ship! I am willing to do the same! I will geld him, get him gentled and going under saddle. He's not much different than a wild mustang at this point! He's registered with cow blood!

Kay and jt, those are both wonderful offers. I hope someone will take you up on them. I mean, what else could a person ask for? They would end up with an awesome horse with a good start.

Great offers ladies! I wish I had the funds to bail him...work has been very slow this winter!
...just a thought, but Kay, could you use the money that it would cost to send him for training and to geld him for his bail, and JT could train him. He's got to get bailed before anything. Poor guy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If this horse comes to the Seattle area, I bet my vet would give a discount on gelding him. He is the one who was willing to do Paris' mouth as a donation to the rescue effort. Sorry I posted this on the wrong thread to begin with!

I can offer him only gelding and training. He would have a home while he is in training, but would be put up for sale after he is started. The greatest giftI can give him is an education. I cannot keep him long term. I cannot rescue more horses if I do not at least try to break even on my horse helping funds. It is like a short term loan to the horse. I am not in it for a profit and usually lose ground every time I help a horse. If you would like him to go to a forever home, then I am not the home you want.

So, he would have a home with you until he is finished training? At least he'd have a home and then a permanent one could be found.

What kind of time are we talking about for his training? And you'd even be willing to pay his feed while in training?!

Remember also, while in QT he has his ads running and more inquiries come in....over the 30 days, there is a good chance the forever home can be found.
