As far as I know, Pay Day does NOT have a home offer. If you are interested in him, let his PS know ASAP (am I talking in acronyms enough for ya?)

PAY DAY
Sept 21, 2007 19:18:16 GMT -5
Post by NanciK on Sept 21, 2007 19:18:16 GMT -5
Pay Day safely arrived at Katie Moore's Watermark Farm today, after a 24 hour trip from Yakima to Sonoma County, California.
Pay Day is a handsome, refined hunter-type TB gelding, with wonderful manners and soft eyes. We could read only the letter of his tattoo, "P", making him 21 years old.
He is settling quietly into his fluffy-bedded stall that Katie prepared for him, and will no doubt catch up on some rest.
Except for hooves badly in need of a trim, he appears to be in good health overall.
Katie's other horses, including the lovely CBER mare "Angel", warmly welcomed Pay Day at the fence.
Pictures to come, stay tuned!

Mr Pay Day is the gem we all hope for when we do feedlot rescue. NanciK came over today and gave PD a hunter makeover, and I hardly recognized him when I walked into the barn. He looks like the horse he is supposed to be. Nanci read his tattoo and will research his "true identity."
We did an "after" photo session today. Stay tuned for the "all new" Pay Day!

Hello Pay Day fans,
I rode Pay Day for the first time yesterday, and he was awesome!!! His Auntie Nanci came over from Napa and cheered us on. Pay Day was a bit rusty at first but then remembered his job well. He is quite clearly a horse who has been ridden and shown. We are guessing he was used as a hunter by the way he wanted me to put him in a frame. I rode him a walk, trot and canter. He will stay at my farm instead of going into foster care with Jennifer in Sebastopol. He does not need rehab but rather needs to go to work. I will start riding him 3-4 days/week for short periods. If anyone wants to come over and work with him, please let me know. I could use someone who wants to come and lunge him 1x/week, or take him for a handwalk. This is a REALLY REALLY REALLY nice horse. He will make a good Pony Club horse, lower level hunter, etc. I will pop him over a fence this week. We'll try a trail ride soon. We hope to re-home him quickly, hopefully within the next 6-8 weeks. Please spread the word. He is sound, healthy, has clean joints, a super mind, is loving and sweet and does everything you want. He is not herd bound, is used to being in a stall, and ties well. Kind of an old schoolmaster type.
Katie

Thanks Diane, this is definitely a team effort!
Pay Day's schooling is going so well that Katie has entered him in a Dressage schooling show next weekend, where we hope to give him lots of exposure to prospective adopters.
Who can resist a hamdsome bay TB gelding all braided-up?

Everyone put Pay Day in your thoughts Sunday morning, 10/21, at 8:32 am!! My 12-year-old is riding Pay Day in a dressage test.
We'll have a serious potential adoptor in the stands, too!!
Photos to come following the show.

Caly is right! Demi is a tough little rider. But still little (70 lbs soaking wet) and still very much learning. Pay Day is very kind hearted with his riders, and lots of fun to school!
Keep spreading the word ---- Pay Day is looking for his forever home, and he is a SUPER horse!
