If we have $425 in donations and an offer to cover QT, then shouldn't we be getting close here??? A few more donations would get at least one horse saved...can anyone else chip in a little here... we have a home offer, we have a QT offer, we need some more funds....we have a horse in reach of being saved.
It's in our hands NOW.[/b]

It seems to me we have to make our own miracle here and just come up with a little more funds.
I just paypaled another $20 + fee.
If the Angel Fund could be used here and that is the only resort, it should be considered. Maybe more members would have some money to donate later to help pay the Angel fund back.
There has to be a way around this to close the deal here and get this horse finished.

Yes, the Angel Fund can be used here if we get a commitment that the funds will be repaid ... it is a short-term loan.
If you need help with the Angel Fund, PM or call me on cell (707) 529 9603.

Cynthia, way to go!! There IS demand out there for these rescued TBs, so have no fear! NanciK and I have gotten great response for Pay Day.
I am saving some names of potential adoptors, so will pass those on to you once you get this girl home and under saddle. Can't wait to see her!

wow, I get to post update pictures before I even get her home! Here are a couple shots Sam took for me. I scheduled to have her feet done and get 6 rides in by Jeff before she comes home. I said I had room to take Lotus in because I sold my mare(my icey) and yesterday when they came and picked her up, well, I flopped down on the bed and cried for an hour...what kind of horse business is this my husband says? Why aren't you happy? Well, Im happy she went to a great home, but I sure will miss her. So come on home Lotus, I'm waiting. any suggestions on how to build up her neck muscle? If all goes well I'll be taking my dressage lessons on her so I'm sure that will help tremendously. Maybe she'll need some extra fat in her diet??

Tolo's neck was like that way.... no muscle really, we just did lunging work with side reins and all, dressage will REALLY help... bending and getting round will really help! She looks awesome!! With some weight and building of muscle and you will have yourself a VERY nice horse!! Lucky you!

I can't wait to see her once she sheds that coat! Good dressage training will help build her muscles, just be patient. Riding circles and corners will help quite a bit. Trust me, I know because this is what I am going through with my girl. No gimmicks, no extra stuff, just honest work and time.
I'm so happy for you both!

LOTUS IS HOME!!! Holy gorgeous horse!!! She is so tall! She is as sweet as can be. Settled in immediately. She is much prettier in person. Huge soft eyes. I was told she took a few funny steps up in WA, but we'll see how she is. After that long trailer ride she walked around just fine. She ate and drank right away and seemed very content to be here. I'll get a little more weight on her before I ride her, I can count her ribs, but all in all she is very healthy and looks really good. I like how very calm she is. Sam was great, she sent me a million pics of her being ridden by Jon. In a western saddle and bareback.

Ok, I'd been riding all day and doing ranch chores, but you can see how tall she is. I'm 5'4" . She's in our QT pen now, but I may turn her out with the others tomorrow. so exciting:)
