I've let Kirsten know I will be a backup for Toly if all else fails --- it breaks my heart to see him ship.
Can anyone cover his QT costs, coggins, etc.? I would cover shipping to CA.
Please help. I cannot do this alone. I would rehab/rehome him, so possibly someone down here would like to partner up with me on this.

I would take him in a second if I knew he was safe for kids. I will pledge $100 anyway if he gets a home offer. We took a TB from CBER two years ago (Abraham, from community rescues) and he is not safe for my kids yet. I really wanted something like Toly!

I think that Toly is safe unless Chuck tagged him earlier...Toly has a backup home and someone to cover the last of his balance...so I think he's going to be OK even though I don't have an"Official" word on that....going out on a limb here.

emyhan55 --- I am this horse's backup home (should no other adoptors show interest in him while he's in 30 day quarantine), and I live in Santa Rosa, CA.
I rehab/foster and rehome these guys, so let's talk --- are you in the Sierras? From everything I have heard, this sounds like a nice little horse for kids.
It sounds like Toly might be pulled and at Sam's. Waiting for confirmation.

Yes, I live In Truckee, Calif., and I am the adopter of Abraham (now called Gus). He is a beautiful boy, but has some trust issues, and he isn't a kid's horse. He's absolutely gorgeous, but not suitable for us. Great project horse for someone who is better able to handle OTTB. If things fall apart for a home for Toly, I would take him in a heartbeat, it's just that I would have to rehome Abraham. My son (aged 12) will shoot me, as he loves Gus, but I know he'll also fall in love with a horse like Toly, especially if he can ride him! My daughter would also ride him, heck, we'd ALL ride him, and would make sure to keep his joints supplemented and warm. Watermarkfarm, I'll PM you. And NanciK, thanks, I don't get to check the board much, but the urgent emails are hard not to respond to |
