25 year old, 13.2h, black Morgan type mare. Sere is super sweet and gentle. She is very responsive in the halter and respectful of your space. She leads, is easy to handle on the ground, does not mind her ears being touched, basically allowed us to do whatever we wanted with her. When trotting up and down the concrete we noticed two things: first, she is not sound (probably has foundered, which is correctible with proper (farrier care) and two, she is gaited. About the lameness: when trotting on the uneven ground and rocks of the feedlot surface she was quite a bit more tender (the footing is an easy explanation). On the concrete she traveled much better but showed signs of lameness. A pre-purchase exam or exam by a farrier might answer more questions. $575.00Email Deb Logstrom for more information: AvalonMistFarm@msn.com~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ $ 20.00 Riding Assessment- Donated by Marcia (Paid by Paypal) HOME OFFERS: #1. Given her height, short coupled build, and gait, I'll bet money that this mare is a Paso.

HELP I keep coming back to this girl, she is beautifull and need to fine a home. I had one person in mined, but it didn't work but we know of another little girl that just loves horses and wants one of her own, sounds like by the post that she would work. if the group can I know we will have to help with bail. they have the pasture and barn and would keep her for the rest of her life and gave her a good home.I'm going to go out today and talk to her grandmother.

update on my post, contacted the grandmother , someone just gave her a horse since she had won free rideing lesson from the Ann Beckner foundation that is here in the area. We are still going to keep checking to see if there is someone else. Also I'm going to send the $20.00 to have the person ride hr that Sam mentioned.

I have 4 nephews that would be willing to take care of her at my place and ride her so I could offer a home.

gfvanvleck has been a great supporter of the rescue horses and has given donations as well as adopting several CBER horses in the past. It would be a wonderful home for this mare. One of the young horses they took in was a foal of one of the wild roan mares after Carolyn weaned it.

So, how can we help? Is that a definite home offer? Should we send donations now?

Hi there, yes I was just told a week ago where everyone went. I have really missed reading this board. I have adopted winston, oreo, pixie, tink, chipwich, smudge and gave a home to pasadena. We had pasadena for 4 months before she died in her sleep. She left us with a beautiful boy that will be castrated on Thursday. My son rides pixie and she again is just a wonderful horse and very large. My daughter rides chipwich and his name is meryl. My son and I were just watching the horses one evening when he started calling out names to see if anyone would come and sure enough chipwich came running when he called out meryl. We have not been so lucky with the others. Did I say that my son and daughter are 25 and 28. My son still lives on the farm and my daughter has her own now, but keeps feeders there and comes home to ride. I was hoping pasedena would be my horse and I just had a great time with her, but it just wasn't to be. Now I am looking for a shorter horse for me and my neghews to share. Well now that I have talked your ear off I will let you go.

I have offered a home for her if she did well on her riding test. I have my hands full right now working with the ceber horses I have adopted in the past that do not ride. I could do the quarantine her at my place and take care of the transporting. I already have a vet coming on Thursday so he could check her out.
