I was contacting about putting thse horses on my site and helping her find these 2 a home.
She had advertized them on Craigslist, But gave me further infomation about them.
Her first email to me read:
Need to Re home to older Appys 16yr gelding/ 21yr mare need to go together, as mare has issues herd bound to son. Gelding is always ecscaping hot fence and we live on very busy highway, his safety is a concern as well as traffic accidents? Have had them 3 1/2 yrs rescued from neglected home, but gelding is getting out 3/4 x aweek now!! Please help if you can.. Don't really want money just a good home for them together!
I replied back and placed them on my website. and asked her a few questions.
Hi Sarah,
Do you have a photo of them you want me to post with your ad?
If so just reply back to this email with the photo(s).
And Good Luck, & Thanks for posting with us.
Paige
Hi Paige yeah here are some photos. Appreciate any help finding a home
asap. Blackjack is blanket appy 16yr gelding black w/star. Tawnygirl is appy 21yr mare creamy w/brown variations of spots, much lighter when clean:) .
Tawny is mother of blackjack we were told?
Hi Sarah,
How is this guy escaping? Is he jumping or walking thru the rows of tape? Are you sure your fence is working propetly cuz my place use to be totally all that stuff while we were building new fence and the only time anyone got out was when there was a short in the fence. Even the stallions left it be, altho we also had panels for them. I posted the photo's, and calls yet?
Do you know how to check to see if your fences are working propertly? From the looks of the pictures it doesn't look as tho weeds are touching the wire but it could be laying against a post, or touching wood, just barley and it will short it out.
I think you need a 3rd maybe even a 4th row of that tape to keep him in, My thoughts are it's not very strong and he's climbing right thru it. Can you keep him locked in that shed till someone offers to take them. I would have helped you out but i just took in 3 myself this past week and that is my limit on rescues.
I belong to a rescue site, with your permission I can post your ad there for you also.
Let me know if you need any help.
Paige
Hi Paige,
He's like Hoodini ! he'll test it all the time. He goes under it! Like limbo? I've seen him do it.. He keeps kicking it in the corners shorting it out. Another sec. wind. tree branch zapped it out on a pole... But really We can fix each time and we did have 3 rows on 5 of pastures but it didnt make adifference he wont stop. Hot or not he'll kick it w/ back feet... This is with hay and grass to graze mare in same area... she never ecscapes..If we pen him up he tries to jump gate, viciously kicks the door... i'm in over my head I was tring to get them out of a bad situation 3 yrs ago and instead landed in one myself Maybe If I didnt work full time and have 2 little kids I'd fill I could somehow fix this, but he's going to hurt himself or someone else!
Thanks for any help.. A rescue would be good as long as they arent going to make me seem wrong for needing them to go/ 1 email so far

She is here in Molalla, I figure this coming weekend if they aren't gone I'll go have a peek at them and see if theres some way I can help her set up a pen to keep the guy in till someone can take them.
Now I'm not one to make judgements but it sounds to me as tho he has NO training and he's just spoiled. Get's away with whatever he wants to. Anyways if anyone can help her out please do.. This woman has gotten in over her head.
You can see them on my site: They are the first ad you'll come to.
