I have rescued several horses and now I need help. I need to place a couple who can go to a new homes because I am losing my place. I have not been given a time frame but need to try and place 2 sound mares, is hard for me to find a place which can house 8 horses. I do not want to chance them going to auction, please anyone who can help pm me.They are both dolls... I would keep if there were any way, but am losing what small space I have. They are one TB mare 9 years old, well broke,good all around; NSH mare 17 broke, sound good for light riding I can send pics

I have had no response to my asking for help, funny how things turn out. I do not want to send any of these horses to auction but if I cannot find homes will have no choice. I am desperately looking for a place for myself and as many of the horses I can take, but is hard to find a place in the country with enough room for the horses. I am going to try and place those I feel are the most easily placed, and keep the ones I can. I am rehoming CBER Missy, Mahogany and both of my NSH mares. any help is appreciated.

Can you describe them? Height, age, training etc. Can you post pictures? That always helps too. If you can post that info or send it to me privately I can ask around - my trainer might know some people as well. Right now her client is looking for a dead broke smaller horse for a six year old girl to ride...

Ask Joe Shelton (TBFriends). He's been helping people place horses lately. He lists horses on his blog and does the screening.
I know you've taken on a lot of horses. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

You should contact CBER for the horses you got from them, they should at the very least, help you rehome them, if not, then they should take them back as any good rescue would do.

Post this on the cber board! I know that the volunteers are working on updating the petfinder listings, doing baen ads. I've seen them work on rehome horses, too. They'll need the descriptions though. Also, can you deliver within a certain radius? I can help with pictures and ads and stuff too if you would like. Oh yeah, Katie (watermarkfarm) has a rescue horse matchmaking site. I just got back from Canada last night before midnight, was a he** of a drive, checked in with my horses this morning, all are well. I did rehome Missy before I left, I am looking to rehome3-4 others. I need to post pics and info I will asap, my other comp won't let me on, I have my pics on it. might have to take more, but having just finished 3000+ miles driving am very tired so will get them up this week. I so wish I did not have to do this.... but can't do regular stable prices for 7 horses. anyone looking for a retired/light riding paint, she will be my most challenging to place, pics and info to follow, thank you in advance for your help

Would you consider moving them to a less expensive place. I board out near Brentwood - I think it's cheaper out there and it's not that far from Livermore.

thought I would let everyone know I have found a solution, I am moving out of state. I am ok to leave my horses where I am until the move is complete, I am grateful that I will be able to do so.... I was able to place one of my horses so have 7 to move with me. I will post where I am coming from when I have all arrangements done in case I can help in bringing any horses from the washington area back to the bay,

Hey everyone - I've not been online much at all due to baseball this summer...and unfortunately haven't seen much of Belinda or the horses (gypsym)
Mahogany is gorgeous and a sweetheart!!!! She's one I fell in love w/ on CBER's BB, and was glad she came to Livermore. Wish I could take her, but I'm at my one-horse limit. The other horses are in great shape - Belinda's brought them a long way.

the place we hope to get is in Washington, north east area.... have backups to look at... will let everyone know where I end up, as it stands I am taking all my babies with me. have been in contact with a rescue up there so will get some good resources, am counting the days.... 15!!!
