I recieved this email from a friend, please feel free to pass it on to anyone you think may be able to help. Hi Michelle, As promised, here is the information on Lu Lu who lives in Willits: Lu Lu is approximately 20-25 years old. She stands about 14.5. She was originally a rescue (neglected by her first owner) about ten years ago and became a companion to my friend's mom, Phyllis and another horse who died a few years ago. Lu Lu was beloved by Phyllis and had full run of the barn, yard and patio. Phyllis passed away last Sunday and had been bed ridden for a year prior, so Lu Lu has been very lonely. Lu Lu is missing one eye and has survived colo-rectal cancer (the same cancer that Phyllis died of...they were diagnosed at the same time...hmmm.) She has two old injuries her right front knee (see pictures) and left leg. She walks fine, no limping or pain. She is barefoot and will be trimmed Monday...she was dangerously overdue for a trim. Having only one eye does not slow this sweet old gal down. She is extremely affectionate and plays with the dogs and cats. She adores people. I have rarely met a sweeter, gentler horse than Lu Lu. She is being taken care of by my friend until the house goes up for sale in a couple of months. We are running out of time in trying to find Lu Lu a new family. She is free to a good home who wants a companion horse. Her new owner will need to arrange for transport. Anyone interested in Lu Lu can email me at angin07@gmail.com or call my friend Kate directly at 707-459-4245. Thanks so much for getting the word out, Charlotte
