He is out of Khrypton, a pure arab... he was out of Khemo.
The sire had a long long list of many championships in showing western, reining and working cow horse, up til he was 23!!!
this is one fancy baby... :-)
and he's darn cute too!

LOL here. I've got a just-turned 2 year old border collie/boston terrier rescued as a puppy just like him! Constant motion. . .full speed. . .highly intelligent. . .going-full speed and then. . .poof, asleep! Many laughs!

he is definately hardwired to do this! as you see, he does it all the time, enough to get pictures!

I've never known an arab to gait. Other than the pinto Saddlebreds that do 5 gaits, I don't know where it would come from. And his parentage seems to be pretty solidly known.

he does a HUGE floaty trot too, so this is just an 'additional speed'...

Gaiting? I don't know - I had a couple of people tell me on the wine Ride that Reno had the prettiest prance/gate they'd ever seen. What breed was he? Uh, PAINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol (He was very excited to be out after such a long time) |

Apparently he LIKES his jammies! :-)
he takes them willingly each night! hehe...
but he is quickly outgrowing them! (good thing I have a few more sizes in the stores!)
did you guys see us pulling bubble gum off his face last night?

From the discussion on the arabianhorses.org website, it sounds like gaited arabs are a dirty little secret on the arab horse world! Personally, I would think that with the rise in popularity of gaited horses that someone could market to this niche. |

You may not want to emphasize the point, but it shouldn't be a deal-breaker to the right home. It sounds like he has all the normal gaits too, so a good trainer should be able to train him to respond to cues for either trot or singlefoot. He sure is a gorgeous, flashy kid!
mod to change name of gait - all those rack, tolt, singlefoot, etc. is all beyond me!
Also, being a gaited arab is desireable in trail/endurance/competitive trail, so someone may be very interested in him for that. (Piopico for one!)

If I could have a horse, my first choice would be a gaited one again! Had a gaited Morgan once and I could ride for miles and miles with that singlefoot gate. The other horses would be trotting like crazy and I'd just sit there smiling while he did all the work! Love those gaited horses!!!! He wasn't a really good trail horse (all we ever did) because he would stumble on uneven ground and he never did get the hang of how to canter without getting his feet all tangled up! But, give us a stretch of flat ground. . .and, look out! Off we went with a big smile slapped across my face!
