she's just standing there......come on already....I gotta leave work in just a bit...I need some excitement here...LOL Do any of you know if I can get her marestare on my phone, it has interent  ...does anyone out there watch that way? I know I can't watch her at home either, so work is my chance, and I'm leaving in 25 minutes.... Think we can send some birthing mojo her way? |

LOL... Kerrie got me this am...
I was there for a bit while she was laying down, we have bars on the barn aisle side so I can watch... I try not to fly right in there and scare them when they are foaling... hehe...
but she looked at me like 'what are YOU doing here during nap time?', and got up...
and her reward???
my daughter gave her a bath! LOL!
she was NOT happy... but tolerated it.
her coat was very greasy feeling... and she has some exzema on her legs...
so, all soft and fluffy now.
and I'm ready for her to GO!

I'm ready for her to go too. Other than a baby shower tomorrow, it's a baseball free weekend and I am hoping to watch her have her baby!!! There's still time to name the filly Friday......

Maybe she is waiting for a baby shower I thought for sure I would see a new baby today now there is a thought, throw her a baby shower, she'll for sure go into labor. My friend was on her way to her baby shower when her water broke, she kept going tot he hospital, everybody showed up there, and had the baby shower in her hospital room... I sure hope Sunday #2 won't be so slow to deliver the baby. |

seriously... she just has to gestate for how ever long it takes.
Nutrition wasn't great the first half of her pregnancy, so maybe she is catching up...
her milk is still clear as of last night, I think it will go white the night she will deliver,
I'll let ya'll know... but until then, CALL if she looks like labor is setting in!!!
:-) she might fool us!

I'm starting to think just turning off the cam, and pretending she is not preggers, and finding the foal 'surprise!' might be way easier! LOL! dang mare, how CAN she think of so much food at this point? eat, sleep, eat, sleep... doesn't she KNOW we CAN'T sleep waiting for HER? |

I remember reading that it's the foal who triggers labor. (Can't remember how) So need to tell the baby it's time to come out and play!!
Kaleigh went 6 weeks over - and look what came out! I suspect Sunday's baby is just waiting to finish packing on the pounds. Both mares were pretty thin halfway through their pregnancies. The babies just took more time cooking so they'd come out healthy and strong. It'll be worth the wait.

She doesn't even look slightly uncomfortable...seems relaxed and is eating away. (again), much to Mickyfan3's consternation no doubt.
My trainers mare just foaled out yesterday 369 days, but she isn't even half of Sunday's age!

and we have clear milk still... so she is just uncomfortable, but nothing changed so 'I' think she is waiting for April fools day... how about Sunday Fool....
we start all our registered names with Rocking (or ranch is Rocking Horse Ranch)... so, Rocking Sunday Fool?
