It was a nice sunny day when she foaled, the next day...not so much! It was hailing and cold! The pink blanket he is wearing is actually a large dog blanket of my friends! He has 2 new blankies already, one that is BLUE that we will put on him this weekend  Annie has turned out to be a beautiful mare, if I do say so myself! She had a hard time after foaling, colic and then not wanting to let the foal nurse. She was very painful, thank goodness for Banamine! She is a very good momma now, and VERY protective! She was very thin when we got her, maybe a 2. The picture above does not show how thin she was! She had not been handled before I got her either, so that was fun..... |

I started to have my suspicions when she just continued getting fatter and fatter.... She was running with a stallion, so I figured she was. Good thing I got her the first week she was bred, so she had good nutrition through out her pregnancy. Baby is growing fast and is a pistol!  He is not even 2 days old in this picture! |

Annie is looking for a home Anybody interested? The vet thought she was between 3-4, definitely not over 4--leaning towards 3....sad huh? I need to down scale though, and she needs a job! |

Oh, they are both beautiful! Love the long legs on the li'l punk! It is wonderful to see the baby running around outside. I think the movement early on is critical to developing healthy hooves and legs.

I am guessing he will be dark. His Daddy was a big Black and white blanketed stud, so am guessing he will darken.....some of his siblings did not though, and stayed the grulla color....so we will see........

He is full of himself, and is constantly running, bucking and rearing! He is a handful! Mom is doing great, she's wonderful with him and loves her baby!
