Helping Julianne

I hope it is ok to post this here. Although I'm no longer active with Cowgirl-spirit, I do still receive their email updates and received this this morning. Many of you may already know about this very tragic accident but, just in case, I wanted to post it anyway.
Julianne has given many death row horses a fighting chance at becoming productive citizens.
This is the third serious horse-related accident I've heard of in the last month- be careful out there folks! Now, go hug your ponies and your closest rescuer.
Here is the original email:
Hi there,
I imagine by now you've heard of Juliane's riding accident on Saturday April 11th (her birthday) that landed her in Harborview Hospital. We're lucky our friend survived, she was kicked in the face repeatedly and suffered extensive facial fractures, a cracked palate and jaw, a lip split from her mouth to her nose, a broken nose, and 10 damaged teeth- most broken off (some exposed nerves). They attempted to airlift her to Harborview but the weather required them to ambulance her. We think she's lucky to be alive.
As always, Juliane has dealt with this with cowgirl bravery and optimism despite the excruciating pain (and stress since she was laid off of work last month and is without insurance). We were relieved to learn that she does not require reconstructive surgery on her broken eye orbital's or facial bones, though her sinuses may have suffered crushing that will require surgery later.
What can we do to help?
The one area that there is no insurance but a desperate need for help us dental- with 10 broken teeth it is difficult to eat and there is a lot of discomfort. Juliane got some patching done to cover the exposed nerves but needs some major work, fillings, as well as multiple veneers across the front to not only have a regular smile, but to allow her to properly eat and care for her teeth (temporary fillings often block flossing, etc). A number of us are working to help her get the funds to get her teeth repaired. A local dentist has offered to do the work at a fraction of the usual cost but for anesthesia, lab costs, etc, the total charges will be $2,800.
Many of us have had the opportunity to know Juliane - for many of us she has been the person there willing to lend a hand, trailer (or train) a horse, loan a bale of hay or anything else she could do to help out. It's our turn to help her. Would you consider donating to her dental fund? Any amount would help, no donation is to small (or of course too large); every dollar adds up and will help lift the stress of trying to fund this procedure.
If you'd like to help, you can do so one of 3 ways:
1) call the dentist and donate directly to her dental bill. Dr. Ron Sherman at (425) 391-4964. (no amount is too small!)
2) donate via paypal to juliane_hanley@hotmail.com
3) mail a check to her at :
32722 SE Issaquah Fall City Road
Fall City, WA 98024
It took us a week to get her to agree to let people know how to help, but the reality of the costs and the difficulty of 10- broken teeth are setting in, so she agreed that she would be grateful for any assistance with her dental bills. If you have questions, contact me or you can speak to her directly.
Thanks,
Susan Bunch
