I'm trying to firm up my plans, is anyone coming up from S. CA and staying over near us? Pt Reyes? Who is coming to Tired Dog?
We are planning on going to Tired Dog on Wednesday, July 8th and staying til Saturday or Sunday. I have to work on Monday...
I have a reservation at Pt Reyes, but will have my Mom here, and would rather find a nice place to stay at a B&B if we are the only ones going... so, need to know so I can find those (they go fast!) and cancel my res...
What dates are others staying at TiredDog?

You stole my line, Miss Beth. I was going to mention bells on both Sally and moi. Naturally we will be here!
This looks like it is going to be a Big Horse Camp-Out! I think we should take a group photo on our mounts this year (Sam will photograph), and Larry and I will be the ones who give perspective to rhow big your guys truly are. I cannot wait to meet your Sir Charles and Tash's Mr. Handsome Man. Sally better start tuning up Sir Phileas Maximus.

Bring Caly! or you can certainly do a caravan with us... we have a 5 horse trailer, and are taking either 4 or 5 horses... but my truck is an extended cab, not crew cab, so I'm afraid even tho it seats 5 technically, it is not too comfy and for that long of a ride, it would be a mess... If I only take 4 horses, maybe we could put your horse in and you could drive up in a car? I'm not sure how my truck will do on a long drive with that much load... it is fine for short distance... but I can try!

Alright! Who's hubby is coming? I want to bring mine and my DD's horse and Sun, who isn't under saddle yet but even if she's not by then the exposure will do her good. Are there corrals left? I'll need one for Sun Oh and Tash, about those spots (or lack of) on your new guy . . . . you have to sleep sometime! And I hear you're bringing the rum MTA - how big are the corrals? Can Tika and Sun share one or is it 1 per?

I'm still trying! I'm about 50-50. Hubby will be in Nebraska the 5th through the 7th, so we would have to drive up the 8th.
I'll definitely bring Flora because she is an awesome trail horse! If hubby comes I'll bring Raz for him. If my trainer friend can come back up I'll bring Manny for her (if I don't send Manny down to Sac with her for the summer).
If I can have a patch of pasture, I have all the makings for a portable electric fence. I can fence and cross fence up to a couple acres as needed/allowed.
We're going to go look at a truck today, then all I'll need it a trailer! Otherwise I can use the company truck and rent a trailer. Ugh.

Bring Caly! or you can certainly do a caravan with us... Good suggestions, Beth! I know Caly would love to tag along, but it's tough for her to take that much time away from the cats...Caly? Maybe we could figure out a way to caravan. I appreciate the idea of even sharing a ride with you, but my plan is to bring both Jamaica and SP, which is why I need to drive. Let's chat about the caravan thing!

Please, Caly - PLEASE COME! I have been wanting to meet you for so long now. Pretty please, with anything on top that you want? As you can see, there are more requests for corral pens than what I have available. However, if Becky brings her fencing talents with her, it sounds like there will be plenty of room for others. This is why I must have firm commitment from those planning to attend - if someone who says they are coming and just verbally reserves a dwelling and/or corral pens does not attend, someone else might miss out. Here is what I have to date (modified 5/27): Airstream: Paintedlady + hubby + 2 corral pens Cottage: Beth et al + 4 corral pens Cowboy Cabin: Barb + hubby + 2 corral pens Yurt: Jen M. + 2 corral pens Camping: Tash et al + 1 corral pen (++?) Camping: Toeps + hubby + 2 corral pens Dwelling (if available): Rodeo51 + 2 + 2 corral pens
Possibly Probably: Becky, CalyThis is the order in which requests were received and will be given. I need a registration form and deposit in-hand to reserve dwellings and corral pens. Write me if you need a registration form or amount owing. There are six corral pens in the upper meadow and six corral pens by the yurt - that's it. There is a beautiful new round pen going up in the upper meadow, about 55-ft diameter. Also, the longhouse (where Kelly D. camped last year) is nearly completely roofed now. It would be a blast to have a meal or two catered. We can also order pizza when nobody wants to cook. The fire ring is in full swing, and there will be beautiful wood ready for campfires. I say we shoot for hitting the top of Gray Creek Trail this year, starting much earlier in the day. The trial is impassable right now, but must be cleared in time for the Spanish Mustang Registry annual meeting in June. MTA: Swissie, I am sad you won't be attending. I wish you could be here. And Becky, I want to meet you, too! Please come - I want to see Raz in his Freedom Bridle! (What color did you choose by the way?)

I got a plain black sidepull for Raz (boring), for Manny I got a black sidepull with yellow overlay, and for Flora I got a black Evolution with royal blue overlay. LOVE the Evolution!!!!

Agilitygal, why aren't you coming? If you are an old bat like me who hobbles around all achy and sore, that's no excuse! I will push you in a wheelchair if that is the case - seriously. I wish you would come. I have wanted to meet you for years now.
Posted (by moi) and copied from other campout thread:
Rodeo51, I got your voice mail message - and I will call you. We are building a round pen, and it seems all my time is spent outside right now. *heaven*
Okay, Ladies ... I do need to get definite commitments from you. I have more requests for dwellings and corral pens than I have dwellings or corral pens. I can twist a few arms (my own actually) and get more pens, but I cannot build more dwellings or erect more yurts ... I wish I could! So for those of you who have reserved a dwelling, please contact me immediately with your intentions to send in a registration form (if you haven't already) and/or deposit to secure your reservation. I want everyone here, and I don't want anyone to miss out!
I will send some updated photos to Beth to post within a few days, just to get y'all excited. Things are shaping up around here ... ;D
~Will post this message on the other campout thread as well.

Where are you located, Tiredog? . . .she asks, as a small glimmer of hope begins to arise. How far from Bellevue/Seattle/Portland area are you?
Can't imagine how I could arrange such a dream day trip to drop in and meet all of you. Got a difficult job, 4 special-needs dogs, and a husband just 6 weeks out of open heart surgery.

Darling, your husband will be 12 weeks out of open-heart surgery by the camp-out, and we are about 2.5 hours from Portland. I bet you could even hitch a ride or caravan with someone coming from your direction. Do you think it would be good for Mr. Agilitygal to get out by that time? We have a fire station nearby that is well-armed with EMT's who can make it to the nearest hospital in under 30 minutes. I bet I could even talk my oldest son out of his room for you and Mr. A. Think about it ... It sounds like some of us are very willing to be here to help in any way we can.
