I will try to post the registration form on our blog so that if you need a form to complete and send in, you may. Otherwise, please e-mail me and I will send you a form.
Thank God for the creek and the river - this looks to be a hot one!

Oh, yes. In fact, if you ride to the top of Gray Creek Trail, apparently there is incredible cutthroat trout fishing at the top where the creek starts. (On our property, children [or children-at-heart] can "fish" with nets for little baby trout, crawdads, and various critters in Gray Creek.) Our neighbors have given us access to their private shore of the Middle Fork of the Willamette River where there is incredible fly fishing. I imagine you can fish with rod and reel as well. We also have a boat if any hubbies or friends are interested in hitting Dexter Reservoir or Hills Creek Reservoir. Both are located very close by. Mi boata es su boata.

I have a portable electric corral... I haven't used it in a couple years, but I"ll check it out and bring it if you want... if yours aren't so great in it I can put mine in it, they are fine in hot wire...

Whoo-hoo! Look at our sign in the header! That is so cool. Thank you, Tash!
Beth, bring the electric pen if you can, just in case. We have 12 pens set up permanently, and yours would definitely help. I have extra electric tape and fiberglass poles, too. As you remember, there is plenty of room in the upper meadow to set up temporary pens. And I will get the carrot cake recipe out of Jackie's Cowgirl Cabin and put it in the Cottage. Beth's job is to bake!
Jackie, you need to let me know if you want me to try to set a driftboat trip up with my stepdad. We sold our Seaswirl this past weekend (thank God), and so it would be shoreline fishing unless you have a boat. I will contact our neighbors and tell them we are crashing their property. If you want to google any of the local water ways, look up Dexter Reservoir, Lookout Point, Hills Creek Reservoir, Larison Cove, and Middle Fork Willamette River. That should get you started.
Oh, Beth! Can you post a document on here? It is a map/directions to the place. I also have some updated sweet photos of the upper meadow if you want to start getting excited through photo updates. Let me know if you want me to send them so you can post them.
I am knee-deep in the Spanish Mustang Registry's 52nd annual meeting preparations. No, I am not ready and am freaking out. But this means we will be super ready by July 8th!
I will update the registered list on the other thread.

Anyone who is coming to this campout, who would like to get an SOS shirt... you can order your shirt(s) online at the SOS store and enter the coupon code TDR. The code takes off the shipping charge of your order and instead I will bring your shirt with me to the campout and you can pick it up there. sosequines.com/DEF-Store.asp

Oh Swissie, don't be jealous ... just be crazy and come to the campout!
Has anyone heard from Jen? I haven't heard from her in quite a while.
Two-week countdown, ladies. Does anyone want a clinic on balance, barefoot trims, or anything else? (I can conduct a marguarita- or cheap beer-drinking clinic ...)

Yep, rider balance. I spoke with Simrat about possibly holding a clinic for those of us who lack that sense of balance we had when we were younger, and she was really excited to be here. She might just spend the weekend with us. You can visit her blog at www.akalranch.com and see some of her incredibly balanced riding. I got to watch her cantering on Paisano, doing flying lead changes, and pretty much having an incredible time - without saddle, bridle, halter - nada. She is an amazing rider. And she is our age. If y'all want a catered meal, let me know so I can let the caterer know. Depending on the meal, it would cost around $7 to $10/person and be more food than anyone can possibly ingest. I think a potluck sounds great, too, and my mom's carrot cake can be the only thing on the menu and I will be happy! (As long as Beth and her girls make it.) Carrot cake and marguaritas ... Sounds like the perfect meal to me. Any other clinic requests? Barefoot trimming? Herbal remedies?

I like the idea of having a catered meal...
Herbal remedies?
How about a clinic on how to do horsey massages? Is that a possibility?

Spirit Brooks could do a lecture on equine herbals: www.halfmoonequineherbals.com/Let me talk to someone about horsey massage. Let me know if anyone wants an equine herbal talk. I love the idea of a catered meal. I would not be sad to never cook again.

Has anyone heard from Jen in the past couple of weeks? I have tried to contact her a couple of ways, but to no avail. I would like to make the yurt available to someone else if she is not planning on coming. Jen? Can you hear me? Should I have Bridget try to contact you psychically? (Hee-hee!) Please let me know if you know anything. If Jen does not still want the yurt, it may be available for the campout.
