The Washington and Oregon NFQHA clubs offer all-breed classes at their shows. So, you can compete even if your horse isn't Foundation (or even a Quarter Horse). And, if you do have a registered NFQHA horse, there are lots of prizes--including a year-end saddle in each division of the Super Reined Cowhorse (all-breed included)!!! These shows are fun! No silver, fancy tack, hoof polish, etc. And...and beginners are welcome! There's a class for everyone in just about every Western working event (ride in one or ride them all)! These shows are affordable! All-breed classes are only $10 each (plus cattle fees where applicable)NFQHA classes are $18 (plus cattle fees) For cattle enthusiasts, you can participate in: * Sorting (NFQHA class & Open jackpot) * Cow Work * Specialty Cutting (like NCHA) * Reined Cutting * Ranch Cutting (reined cutting + 1-on-1 penning) * Steer Daubing * Heading * Heeling * Breakaway In patterned riding there's: * Reining * Western Riding (like a western dressage pattern) * Ranch Riding Do you like Trail? * In-hand classes for all ages...and * Under saddle Trail * Ranch Trail Are speed events your thing? Then there are: * Barrels * Poles * Key Race * Agility (combines all 3) The next Washington show is in Goldendale June 26-28.
