She is an amazing spirit. And for those of you who know me and know that you have to be in a pretty bad place to be able to live here (blind, lame, old, etc.), well, this little foal was going to be aborted. I felt it was important to give her a chance. I know her sire and dam very well, and they are amazing horses. The sire is now gelded, and Lydia Lu Daisy Sue is Paisano's last offspring from a true covering. I feel quite blessed to have this little girl in our lives. Not only does she carry the blood of the conquistadors' horses, she has a spirit that is going to teach us all a thing or two!
Susan, she is accepting smoochies - but only from the children! Go figure. And my oldest, Sam, is now 6' 1" tall. You would not think she would consider him still a child. She is in love with Milo and follows him to the point of being reprimanded by her mom, Lily. She and I whinny to each other. Can you tell I am in love?

I haven't weighed in for a long time, but continue lurking. What a lovely foal! Congrats on the healthy delivery! Vicki ;D
