To those of you that live in Pierce County the second horse summit to deal with unwanted abused horses in this area is scheduled for the 24th. Heres a copy of the letter I received.
Dear Ms. Sullivan:
I am inviting you to a County Horse Conference that will be held in the lodge at Frontier Park ( Graham Fair Grounds , 21718 Meridian Ave. E.), Thursday, September 24th, at 7:00 p.m. I hope you can attend.
As you will recall, the Auditor’s Horse Summit meetings held last year were opportunities for people who either cared about horses or owned horses to discuss problems and needed protocols related to the impoundment of horses and other large animals. Since then, the Auditor’s Animal Service Division has made great progress.
Consequently, we want to tell you about our program and procedures regarding large animal impounds, as well as other related issues. Also, we will include a report from the Ripley Horse Aid Foundation and an opportunity for questions and comments from the attendees.
Look forward to meeting with you September 24th.
