It's funny how things turn out, isn't it? I still can't believe his mom was dumped off at Chuck's. Someone in the WA are made a BIG mistake by not keeping her. I am just so lucky and so blessed to have been given this opportunity to care for two amazing animals. You would think I purposely bred Jamaica in order to get this fantastic mule, that's how darn proud of him I am!

I am thinking he would do really well. :-) I do plan on showing him. I don't plan on starting him until the late spring when he will be just over 3 1/2 years old. Mules mature slower than horses and I want him to really be ready. I already have an eventing trainer scheduled to take him on and get him started in dressage and over fences. In the meantime I will continue to work with him on the ground including getting him used to having a saddle and some weight on him. He is fine with a bareback pad so I doubt the saddle will be much different. I would also like to try showing him in-hand at a dressage show. I put both of his ribbons on his halter to see how he would react and all he did was chew on them. I guess that shows what he thinks of ribbons!

I have no doubt the mule is sweet - Just like his friendly, beautiful mother who followed us all over the feedlot wanting attention. I believe her name was Linda then. Great job!!
