Please can a rescue get a hold of king county humane society. There are 6 mares and 2 babys in dyer need of care. They were dropped off two weeks ago and still are there with green algae water concrete is what they are on. There is one filly that was down for over 2 hours, we put a blanket on her to warm her. We got her back on her feet. For how long im not sure! This is crazy there was a lady from HOPE said they had tryed all week to get the county to place them with a rescue, but guess what they havent. SHAME on them! Im telling you they need help now, i dont think they can wait. So if you are a rescue please call make a fuss and get there a$$ on the move. I dont think the mares have any milk. They are all 1 , or 1.5 no joke.

I can't believe how cruel people can be! I just don't get it! Animals need food and care just like us humans do!

It doesn't seem to me that it takes a degree in equine science to know you shouldn't leave a sick baby laying on cold concrete... some of these AC's really don't seen to know what to do with horses. They're set up for cats, dogs and the occasional gerbil I guess. Isn't there some way to access the county commisioners in these more urban settings and eduacate them to at least have a 'horse person' on call. Reading that AC went to this Elledge's place and 'monitored' starving horses for months makes me sick, in a situation where a real horse person would have called BS on the woman's stories and thrown a fit until the sheriff came.
