I am looking for a new horse to use trail riding & occasionally on the beach. I dont have the experience or time to train. I am looking for a gelding, approximately 15-15.3 hands, 8-15 yrs old. I would love to get an Appy, but I am not picky the breed as long as its trail ready. I had to put my old gelding down recently so I am looking for a new trail buddy. Any info would be appreciated.

Michellep, I live in Roy and have a Gelding that may be available. He is approximately 10 years old he is my sons horse. I have one person that may be interested but nothing concrete as of yet so he is still available. My son is selling for 1500.00 I will add pictures. He is a good trail horse and is gated. I will need an adoption contract completed and site checks we want to ensure he has a good home.

I have never had formal riding training, so probably in between somewhere. My old gelding was an ex-racehorse and had plenty of get up and go, and my husbands horse is a bit on the spooky side. So I have had experience with both.

Penny, your son's horse looks exactly like my husbands the only difference would be the height.

Missy (16HH reg TB) is still up for rehoming, she is a great basic rding and trail horse, my son (14) rode her all last year but has lost interest and I am doing endurance. I want to find her a home so will be flexable on her rehoming fee.

Are you dead set on a gelding?

Pretty much set on a gelding. I had a mare years ago and she was meaner than the devil. Of course I know that geldings can be that way also, but I think a gelding would be best since we have one gelding now.

OK, if you change your mind, let me know. I've got a 5 year old dead broke gentle as can be appy mare. She would not be ready to go for a couple months, but she is a darn good horse.
