How about Champ? www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=189He's a real sweetie, gets along with other horses and is great for a beginner. He off all meds and has no special needs, except front shoes. He's at full weight and only requires hay to maintain it. Let me know if you need more information. Jamie

Lorraine, Jamie is the one fostering Champ. The update on CBER's website is over a year old. Jamie's info above about meds, etc. would definitely be more current! Plus, she would never let him go to a home that wouldn't be a good fit because she loves him dearly. Maybe contact her with specifics.

Hi Lorraine-
The info about Champ IS very old. I should update it.
He is absolutely a beginners horse and has carried people who have never ridden before on trail rides and in lessons. The stallion behaviors are gone. He's been gelded for almost two years and had grown out of these behaviors. I have also worked with him to mind his manners.
If you want to find out more, please let me know.
Jamie

I have a 23 year old TB. I have been fostering him for about a year. He was an lesson horse for years. He is easy to be around. Good with everyone even my nut job dog. No bad habbits. I can tell him what to do and woooooooo he does it. He does not have a lot of trail experiance but ok. He has had two vet checks and he is fine. Good health, feet, teeth.....Lots more I could tell you.
