Has/does anyone have a dover circuit dressage saddle? I am thinking about buying one but wanted to see what people think about them. It's one of the "cheaper" saddles. I do eventing and some lower level dressage so I don't need a super fancy saddle but I want something that will hold up and be comfortable for my horse and I. So...if you have one how has it been? Has it held up? Comfortable? Are you happy you bought it? Thanks! ;D

Call Dover and find out where this saddle is manufactured. Also --- What kind of tree? (fiberglass, plastic, or wood?) and what is the saddle flocked (stuffed) with? Wool or foam?
What is the resale value?
These things give you an idea of quality. If it's made in England with a spring (wood & metal) tree and wool flocking, it might be a decent quality saddle.
Of course, fit is always important.....
For less expensive saddles, I think the Wintec saddles give great value for the money. I evented my mare all the way to intermediate level in a Bates (made by wintec).

I agree on the bates saddles. For a little cheaper price saddle they are very comfy and put together well. The adjustable tree is nice as well. I just ordered a Duett Dressage saddle for my Big percheron - but prior to that I had an Amerigo and also have ridden a Collegate which I liked ALOT. Look on Ebay - sometimes you can get EXCELLENT quality saddles for really reasonable - just know ahead of time what you want and what size you need Ohhh - for Bates/wintec saddles - they fit small - so if you normally ride a 17 - go up a size. This is for dressage - not sure on the rest Sara in WA
