I have to admit not knowing anything about gaited horses. After watching this video, I would love to climb up on one and go for a spin! One could definitely win the egg-and-sp oon race riding this amazing horse! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DytqyLjJd0A

Wow, that's like butter! In Iceland they have a contest where you hold steins of beer and set your Icelandic horse off at a Tolt. Whoever goes fast without spilling wins.

Oh, wow! What a way to start the day!!!! He's AMAZING! My cousin raises and breeds Tennessee Walkers and I've ridden one of hers...I love the gaited horses! But, he is AWESOME!!! Great video!

I've seen that video before and think its great everytime. THAT is a Walker! (And I'm not even a Walker fan) He's a pretty awesome guy (I do feel a bit sorry for him at the end as he's looking a bit tired). Nothing like those grotesque Big Lick padded horses...

Okay, for all you rescue types out there that loved seeing this video, Dedrea (renamed Annie) was on the lot last fall. I brought her home with some help from some of the CBER folks. She's a spunky two year old Tennessee Walker filly. No papers but she gaits in the pasture. I'll start her under saddle in the next couple of weeks. She is for sale.

Marcia has seen Cinnamon (aka Lola) who came off the lot last winter, in a running walk out in the corral. I've been riding her and training her out and her trot is so smooth it's almost impossible to post to. Our best guess on her breeding is Paso X. I think she is going to be a smooth as anything to ride.

I remember Dedrea from the feedlot, what a hottie!
If she has the potential to move like the horse in the video clip, she's a really attractive package!

Peruvian Shows have a "Champagne" Class, where you are each given a full CHAMPAGNE glass, and whoever has the most in after the ride, wins. THat Walker was really flying.......and I was pleased to see him 'natural'.

I loved the video so much that I went back and watched it again...what did you all think about the male trainer riding Digger like a big ole pile of mashed potatoes on the horse's back with his legs hanging straight down? It just looked kind of humorous to me...especially with the guy's pasty white hairy legs....woo-hoo.....

My hubby who is not really a horse person (other than what I make him do ) said "What a way to show off that horse, look at that dude!" The horse looked so great with the gal all dressed up on him though.
