I apologize if this is posted elsewhere or old news, but it is so beautiful that I wanted to share it. You must watch this brief online video of a horse herd rescue, it is amazing. Four women with brains did what several hundred highly trained men could not. Watch these horses' movements as they are rescued, these are not your typical domestic horses. These magnificent animals are the pride of the Netherlands, Gypsy Vanners and Friesians. There are hundreds of thousands of dollars in horse-flesh at risk here. A herd of over 100 horses was trapped for 3 days on a tiny piece of land that became an island in wind and rain in the Netherlands in November. Their natural instincts kept them from swimming to solid land. The Dutch nation was mesmerized, watching this drama, as 18 of the horses perished, while others were slowly weakening. First the fire department, then the Dutch army tried to rescue them - both efforts were unsuccessful. Then, with a break in the weather the water level went down and four women decided to try to rescue them another way... Click on the link below: video.google.nl/videoplay?docid=-4584913278289860160
