I have never used a chiropractor for my horses but we have an older horse that I think could really us it. We are located in Valley Spring Ca and I can't seem to find one. If you know of any could you please let me know. Thanks, Tina.

I'll see if our chiro can make a recommendation. Maybe he knows of someone in your area.

Hey Sassiedog,
Check with local vets for a referral. I use a lay chiropractor (not a DC, not a vet) named Geoff Clarke and he is out of Sacramento. I have used him for 20 years, and he is fabulous, trained at the Australian racetracks, where a lot of horse chiro started way back when. His number is 707-451-4628. You can call him and see if he ever comes your way. Where is Valley Spring?
What I love about Geoff is that he will tell you if your horse doesn't need work. He won't just keep taking money. One thing he has said over and over is that the horses out on pasture 24/7 very rarely need any major work, if at all.
We jokingly call this "Dr. Pasture, the Chiropractor."
After you work your guys, make sure they can roll when their muscles are still warm in a nice soft spot, it helps them self adjust.

Thanks alot I found two that are within 30-40 min. of us. Our horses are in pasture 24/7 but I have only had this guy for about eight mo. and I don't know if he was stalled or not before we got but he was very skinny and has other health issues. He just seems really stiff in his back and he acts like it hurts when he backs up, he doesn't pick his feet up he drages them back. Thanks again for all the great info.
