Ok, I have a question do you think this is related to worming her. I wormed Quatzie with TapeCare Plus on the 19th no problems with the worming. She ate, drank, poo..ed as normal. Well for the last three to four days she's lost about 90% of her winter coat (shedding) which is not normal for this mare. I did a fecal before worming no eggs, so the vet recommended this type of wormer for tape worms. Which I thought was a good idea?? at the time. I am .. I worrying to much, my mare is cold in her T/O sheet so I put her back into a heavy winter T/O Blanket. I have a almost naked mare that needs to be stabled now. She does have new hair coming in but it look like I shaved her... this is not right.. any ideas.
Has anyone had any type of problems with this wormer before.

Don't worry - this is normal for some I deworm with double dose strongid this time of year and within a day or two all the horses blow coat. For some reason, they always seem to do this before a nice cold snap...lol. I wouldn't worry Keep her blanketed - LOTS of horses blow coat after the first spring worming. Sara in WA
