Please accept my sympathy I understand how difficult it can be- after I lost Brio I was down at the barn crying and I asked Beejoyful why we rescue these horses and why we put ourselves and others through this loss. Beejoyful pointed to the healthy horses in my pasture and said that is why. I believe the joy far outweigh the grief that we experience from doing rescue. My heart goes out to Jolly's owner.

Thank you all for the kind words and sympathy. I agree with galaxy that the joy outweighs the grief in the end re with rescue work....just hard when things don't go well. Even though I never met him Jolly was a special horse and I won't forget or give up trying to save others. RIP Jolly....may you run free in that great big pasture in the sky.
