Big BBQ at Hytyme after the show (Hytyme is about 10 mins from the show grounds) come and have some BBQ and talk horses. He have some pens you can take the horses out of the trailers and they can hang out and have some snacks and water before the ride home!!
If you want to come email for directions.

I am taking Honey.
We are gonna try to do walk/trot (I don't know if she will trot she is very lazy) Halter for fun my 7 year old is going to ride her leadline.
From Jim's I think this is the list:
Hope (we are looking for a rider for her) Chanel (Mo is riding her and halter I think) Celeste (halter) Kara (halter) Merry (with her new person that is adopting her)
Mo is coming and Bringing her BLM Mustang Fury (riding in all the games, he will kick butt!) and Hytyme Frisco her other horse.
Jill (Yuma) and Reba may come with their new owner as well.

What level of Rider does Hope need and which discipline is her area of expertise? Someone out here may know someone after all.

Probably intermediate ( I would say advanced beginner but I am not sure how she will act in teh show enviornment) we were going to put her in whatever classes the rider could do, english or western or both.

I am going and I believe WendyP and Hystyle are going too. I may take Mahan and my mare, Pie. I haven't decided yet. I didn't get my registration mailed in time so am just going to walk it in on Friday afternoon. As far as what I'm entering...probably the gaming events on my mare as I want her to learn those. Anything that isn't English on Mahan :-). Do I have to know what I'm doing to enter Halter. I think that sounds like fun and I have no idea.

If we get there in time on Saturday morning, I hope to take Lotti in halter - it's basically a beauty contest Lisa - like showing a dog in conformation. Lotti is fat, so I don't really expect to do anything, but we'll have fun.
How 'dressed up' is everyone getting? Jeans, nice shirt, boots, hat......I don't think Lotti is WP material, so we will stick with the games.
Ashley - I don't know if I will get a costume done in time or not...............we'll see. I think Lisa and Tonisha are working on some?
It will be fun no matter what! I have a 15.5" Circle Y dark oil older show saddle with some silver on it if anyone is interested in used (or buying!!!) it. I don't use it anymore.............

I ran out of time for my costume getting allthe other horses ready and car issues, horse change, car issues, etc.
We are all just wearing black pants or nice jeans, I am wearing a polo shirt or other wearing button up shirts, and boots. I am just wearing a hard hat since riding. Pretty casual they said "family attire".

Wendy, Alyssa's western saddle broke on a trail ride (stirrup got caught on some rebar sticking out from a fence and totally busted - pony took off, wooden fence fell on top of Austin who was riding and saddle was drug) and she had to borrow one for fair, so we are now in the market for another western saddle - what are you asking for it? P.S. Everyone was okay, except the saddle

lilypondfarm - $600. I think the silver on it is probably worth as much as the saddle! A gal added the silver after buying the saddle, and it appears to be nice (probably sterling) silver. The gal I got it from was not hurting for money.......... It is a dark brown, older (probably 15+ years old) western eq saddle - not a trail saddle. All I ever used it for was trail riding, but it is a 'show' saddle. It is made very well - much better than some of the newer ones. It's down in the tack room - I will drag it out, dust it off, and post some pictures. I haven't used it in years. I will bring it to the show in case anyone needs a saddle to use.

Faith wants to dress up Panda like a cat for costume. She thinks I'm sewing a costume of a cat for her horse. Not likely. We have enough dress up stuff for both Faith and Panda to be princesses, so that could be the route they'll take. I don't know what I'm doing for my costume. Tonisha and I talked a bit today and she had some great ideas, but I am feeling stumped. I have never been a dress-up (in costumes) sort of person. I am adjusting my thinking on who I will take though. Since Panda only gets along with Dodge (for rideable horses, other than Gambler), I think I'll bring him. I guess it's a good dilemma to have a couple of good horses to choose from. I am not using a show saddle and I really hope that doesn't matter. I'll clean all my tack, but that's about it. Faith did put sparkles in Panda's mane and tail today. So, I guess there is some bling. MTA: Are you gals wearing hats? Other than helmets? I do not have a hat. Would a bare head (with hair ) be disrespectful?

Thanks Wendy - that sounds like a good price, but we just offered Peter a home, so we need to make sure we can save enough money for QT and to get him gelded asap, so we'll have to wait for a while.
