Family, friends and other horse rescue folks please join us!

Please bring your well behaved horse (rescued or not) for an afternoon of mounted games and goofing around in the arena. Limited day and overnight stabling available.

Last year we had a wonderful turnout and enjoyed good company, wine, food and guest appearances by various CBER horses.

Katie & Ken will provide main dishes and non-alcoholic drinks.

YOU bring a side dish or dessert and a drink (wine, beer, non alcoholic).

For those out of the arena, Horizon Airlines flies daily direct from Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas and LAX to the Santa Rosa airport, which is only 5 minutes from the farm!! We will arrange pickup!

Please inquire if you need local hotel information. Stabling is available at the farm.

Please RSVP to this thread, indicating the dish you intend to bring (so we don't end up with 20 salads). Thanks!

I just bought one, a 5 horse... but don't think I'll part with my 3 horse quite yet... too scary to think of hauling 'the beast' for just any trip... :-)

We have a foal due May 30th so the end of May might be tough to do for us. If she goes early or is obviously not ready I'd love to come.

Will be there!!! Livermore American Little League was gracious enough to schedule Chris' game at noon so I don't have to feel guilty about missing the whole thing.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm going to plan on coming. Is there room for an RV up there? I have a , uh, big 5th wheel and would love to come up with it. If I bring that, I won't be bringing horse (Sophie is doing wonderful, by the way) but thats okay. She is such a creature of habit I doubt that she would enjoy the change. Very careful around other horses.

Kathy, I have ordered a moratorium on chicken reproduction this year! Four of those chicks turned out to be roosters! So now we have FIVE. And of course each one has a name, and is loved by a child....

So no baby chicks this year! Those hens are getting cooped up daily so that I can keep a close eye on who is feeling in the family way!

Hey, I'm getting great mileage out of this event, just like I did last year! I am getting my husband to perform all sorts of fix-it and cleanup tasks under the guise of "before the potluck we have to do this...."

I am looking forward to another gathering with you this year. Please do extend an invitation to anyone involved in horse rescue (RO or not) that you think might enjoy the event. It was great to network last year and meet new and familiar faces.
